From Florence, the founder...
“I was born and raised in Paris, France. After 25 years it was time to experience something new and I moved to Drôme Provençale in the heart of Provence. Our house was surrounded by peach, cherry and olive trees and lavender fields. My love for food blossomed with ample time to explore and easy access to fantastic local ingredients from farmers' markets in surrounding villages.
In 2000, my husband and I left our wonderful house in Provence and moved to Chicago and then Minneapolis. People often ask “What made you move here? Don’t you wish you still lived in Paris?”
We just love it here and with four children, life in Minneapolis is actually much easier than it would be in Paris. As the children get older, I find myself with more time to fully embrace my passion for food.
I created Sucre & Sel to share my love of people and cuisine; to gather members of the community for a good meal that will meet or exceed their expectations.
